Before signing up all volunteers must complete a training with Mrs. Lux, be fully vaccinated for Covid-1,9 and have a current background check (go here if you need to <a href="https://bsd405.org/get-involved/volunteer/ " rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">complete a background check</a>) on file with Bellevue School District (renewed every 3 years). When you volunteer, check-in via the Lobby Guard computer in the Main Office and provide proof of vaccination the first time you volunteer. Masks are optional in the building. If you have not been trained please e-mail Mrs. Lux at luxja@bsd405.org to learn when the next training will be held. Thanks!

Help scan student badges during lunch recess! There is an app needed to scan the badges, once you sign up, you will be sent the information on how to download.

Running Club Scanners!

We require every Chess Club student's parent to volunteer at least one time (2:20-3:30) for the Chess Club and <a href="https://bsd405.org/get-involved/volunteer/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">have an approved BSD background check on file</a>. This ensures that students are supervised and directed to Chess Club in Room 105, students are picked up by their parents, and the classroom is put back into good condition so we can continue using the space in the future. Please go to the Front Office by 2:25pm to check-in and proceed to Classroom 105 to help supervise student check-in, ensure all students are picked up, and that the class is cleaned up at the end of the session.

Let's honor our Cherry Crest staff by decorating their classroom "door" with love and appreciation!*Please note: We will actually be decorating NEXT to their door (wall or window), but it's the same idea.<ol><li>Choose a staff member to honor-- sign up under their name below.</li><li>Create a design-- Try and get students involved! (Maybe each student writes a word or phrase they think of when they think of this staff member.)</li><li>Set-up the door on&nbsp;Friday, May 3&nbsp;(after school)&nbsp;or&nbsp;Monday, May 6&nbsp;(after school).&nbsp;</li><li>Feel happy and excited that you were able to honor this staff member!</li></ol> Here are things to know and ideas to help:<ul><li>The theme is "Olympics: Gold Medal Staff". Feel free to use that theme for inspiration, but you don't have to.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Google or Bing search "teacher appreciation door decorations" for some fun ideas!</li><li>The size of the window next to the door is about 30" wide x 60" high.&nbsp;</li><li class="ql-indent-1">*Feel free to use this size, or make it shorter</li><li>There is butcher paper you can use in the workroom (next to the office) for one large sheet to base your design on.&nbsp;</li><li>Please try and be as "invisible" as possible, we want to encourage the staff, not get in their way.&nbsp;</li></ul> Thank you so much for helping start a new tradition at Cherry Crest!
